AMAL TOTKAY
As Amal is a platform where you learn how to be a Life Long Learner by developing a Growth mindset. So, Amal has some tips or TOTKAY that helps you in your way.
Which are:
1. Self-Talk
2. Get out of your comfort zone
3. Create new habits
4. Ask people for help
5. Fake it till you make it
What I have seen is that they all are interrelated to each other, Starting from self-talk, if you have no knowledge about self-actualization (Khudi) or you don’t know about your strengths and weaknesses then how can you grow and move to your higher self. But self-talk should be balanced, you should not be criticizing yourself all the time, in fact do know your mistakes but always acknowledge that you can be a better person because there is always a bright side of darkest circumstances.
After knowing that points where you need improvement, now that moment is the only right time to come out of comfort zone and take leadership of your life because no one is going to change your condition if you are not willing to change it by yourself.
“Plans are only good intentions unless they immediately degenerate into hard work” -Peter F.Drucker
We can not delete old habits from our life, their coding in our mind has been saved for a lifetime but that does not mean that we can not built good habits. So, the point is start practicing new habits on daily basis and one day it will become more powerful than the old ones.
How can you know whether you are improving or just wasting your energy???
Most of people think that because we are doing it and putting our efforts so we know that we are getting desired results. But sometimes that doesn’t work, may be you have a fixed mindset that if I’m doing hard work then there is no chance of getting fail, but there is a possibility you are putting your energy in a wrong direction so, the best way is to reach your closest and dearest one and ask them to give you feedback.
While using all these Totkas, Start thinking in opposite direction of your negative thoughts, which is another Totka. Imagine yourself as you have already reached at your desired results, feel all those feelings of accomplishments.
“You will never be able to hit a target that you cannot see.” -Robin Sharma
My favorite Totkas are the first and the last one. If I had never talked to myself then I would never know my weaknesses and I wouldn’t be at Amal.
Being an introvert, the most daunting thing for me is to communicate effectively. But now after comprehending the importance of 5th Totka, I have started to image myself speaking fluently and effectually which is actually helping me in building my confidence while speaking.
